Program Information

About Our Program

What Assistance May Cover

Approved funding may help cover short-term behavioral health expenses such as:

  • Therapy sessions

  • Psychiatric visits

  • Medication costs

  • Intensive Outpatient Programs

  • Autism or ADHD evaluations

  • Other approved mental health services directly related to care continuity

Assistance is typically limited-term and based on available funding.

What Assistance Does Not Cover

At this time, Paperflower Foundation generally does not cover:

  • Long-term or ongoing treatment without a defined funding period

  • Emergency room visits or inpatient hospitalization

  • Non-behavioral health medical services

  • Services already completed before approval

  • Expenses not directly related to treatment access or continuity

Application Review

Paperflower Foundation uses a structured review process to promote fairness, transparency, and responsible use of funds.

Applications may be reviewed based on factors such as:

  • Financial need

  • Urgency of care

  • Risk of treatment interruption

  • Availability of other support options

  • Overall impact of short-term assistance

Due to limited funds, some applicants may meet eligibility criteria but still not receive funding.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.  Most applicants can expect a decision within 7 to 14 business days, though timing may vary based on application volume, urgency, available funds and documentation completeness. Urgent situations may be prioritized when possible.

Funding Decisions

We are committed to fair, transparent, and responsible use of all Foundation funds.  The Paperflower Foundation reserves the right to prioritize assistance based on community need, available funding, and program capacity.

Financial assistance may be used with any eligible participating provider and is not limited to a single practice or organization.

The Paperflower Foundation administers its programs in accordance with its conflict-of-interest and financial assistance policies. Financial assistance decisions are made based on established program criteria and available funding.

Foundation board members, staff, and affiliated providers do not participate in decisions regarding funding requests in which they may have a personal or financial interest. Any potential conflicts are disclosed and managed in accordance with the Foundation’s governance policies.

The Foundation does not guarantee funding for any individual request, and assistance is awarded based on program eligibility, demonstrated need, and available resources.

Privacy and Confidentiality

We are committed to protecting applicant privacy. Information submitted through the application process is used only for program review, eligibility determination, care coordination, and related administrative purposes. Personal and health-related information is handled with care and in accordance with applicable privacy standards.

How Payment Works

Paperflower Foundation provides financial assistance in a way that is simple, secure, and focused on maintaining continuity of care.

Approved funds are paid directly to the provider or service vendor (such as a therapist, psychiatric provider, pharmacy, or evaluation service). This helps ensure that care can begin or continue without delay and reduces financial burden on the individual.

Funding is typically approved for a defined period of time. The exact amount and duration of support are determined based on individual need, clinical context, and available funding.

Applicants will be informed of:

  • What services are approved

  • The duration of support

  • Any limits or conditions related to funding

Payment timelines may vary depending on provider coordination and documentation, but every effort is made to process payments promptly to avoid disruption in care.
